Ludo

Ludo is an alternative rock band formed in 2003 and based in Tulsa, United States. The group starts as a two-piece formed by Andrew Volpe and Tim Ferrell, then adds Tim Convy and Matt Palermo through internet ads after the move to Tulsa. The current member list also includes Marshall Fanciullo, and the band remains active.

Line-up and formation

The band’s core formation is Andrew Volpe on vocals and guitar, Tim Ferrell on guitar and vocals, Tim Convy on synths, and Matt Palermo on drums. Volpe and Ferrell first form the group before recruiting the rest of the line-up online. The act is identified as a Missouri band as well as a Tulsa-based group.

Releases

Ludo releases three albums: Ludo in 2004, You’re Awful, I Love You in 2008, and Prepare the Preparations in 2011. It also releases the EP Broken Bride in 2006.

Island Records and radio singles

You’re Awful, I Love You is the band’s first release for Island Records. It includes the singles “Love Me Dead” and “Go-Getter Greg”, both of which gain major radio play on American alternative rock stations in 2008.
