Lucy Mason

Lucy Mason is a singer-songwriter from Sydney and London. Born in 1988, she spends her teenage years in Weybridge, Surrey, before developing an interest in London’s music scene. She learns guitar at 13 and begins to focus on songwriting, with influences including No Doubt, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cranberries and Radiohead.

After returning to Australia to study, she moves to the UK six years later and soon begins supporting other artists live. In November and December 2012 she supports Matt Corby on his UK tour. In 2013 she supports Josh Kumra, completes a 20-date UK university tour with Coffee House Sessions, and performs at West End Live in Trafalgar Square.

That same year she wins first place in the UK Songwriting Contest for Sirens. Her songs are written on guitar, in her bedroom, and are described as deeply personal, drawing on different experiences from her life.
