Lucina

Lucina is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Cuiabá, Brazil, born in 1950. She begins her professional career in 1967 as a member of Grupo Manifesto.

In 1972, she forms a duo with singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Luli, also known as Luhli. The pair work together for 25 years as Luli e Lucina, and this collaboration becomes the best-known part of her career.

Lucina later releases her first solo album in 1998, starting a new phase in her music. Over the course of her career, she gives more than 500 performances in countries including Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands. She also has around a hundred compositions recorded by herself, with Luli, and by other singers in the Brazilian music scene.
