Luciano

Luciano is the Jamaican roots reggae singer Jepther McClymont, born in Manchester, Jamaica in 1964. He grows up in Daveyton, a small district in the central parish of Manchester, as one of nine children, and comes from a family described as deeply spiritual and musical. He is associated with soul and reggae, and is also linked with The Mighty Rootsmen.

Recording career

He begins recording in 1992 under the name Luciana. His first single is Ebony & Ivory, released on Aquarius Records. The following year he issues his debut album, Moving Up, on RAS Records. These early releases establish him as a roots reggae artist and mark the start of a long recording career.
