LSB

LSB is a house duo made up of Pete Herbert and Georgina Fernandez. The pair meet in Barcelona, where Fernandez is based, and Herbert travels from London on a DJ visit. They form L.S.B. after that meeting and begin releasing music under the name in 2004.

Releases and labels

The duo’s first record, L.S.B. edits Vol 1, appears on their own label, Superdiscoteca, and presents reworked versions of dance classics. They later sign to Eskimo Recordings after the label hears a demo of a studio recording. Their first single for Eskimo, Original Highway Delight, appears first as a limited white-label release and is later reissued with a remix by Mungolian Jet Set. A second Eskimo single, FOG, follows in 2007. That same year, they also release a second volume of L.S.B. Edits on Superdiscoteca, which sells out in its first week.

Remixes and collaborations

In 2007, L.S.B. remix tracks for Skylax, Love Is War and Memorabilla. They also work on material associated with Golden Bug, Ilija Rudman and Low Motion Disco.

Style and reputation

Their music is associated with nu-disco and disco-influenced house, with an emphasis on dancefloor reworkings and edit culture. Original Highway Delight is widely supported by DJs and is regarded by many as one of the notable nu-disco records of 2006.
