Love X Stereo
Love X Stereo is a Seoul-based Korean electro rock group active since 2011. The band consists of Toby Hwang, Annie Ko and Sol Han. It combines electronic and indie elements with female vocals, and is associated with pop as well as electro rock.
Career
The group is launched in 2011 by Toby Hwang and Annie Ko, and it builds a style around synth-driven electro rock and dreamy pop-oriented songs. It performs at music festivals across Asia, Europe and North America. In 2016, it releases the double EP series We Love We Leave and headlines SXSW’s K-Pop Night Out showcase.
Love X Stereo receives a nomination for best electronic dance album of the year at the 2017 Korean Music Awards. Between 2017 and 2019, it undertakes a fan-funded project that produces 37 music video tracks.
Collaborations and releases
The band also works on original soundtrack material for the Netflix Korea series Love Alarm and for the indie short film Zero One. It later premieres the album Xennials at NAMM Believe In Music Week in January 2021.
The group is noted in international coverage from outlets including BBC, Billboard and MTV.
