Love Fame Tragedy
Love Fame Tragedy is a solo project led by Matthew Murphy, also known as Matthew “Murph” Murphy, who is the guitarist and lead singer of the indie pop trio The Wombats. The project begins in 2019 and continues as an active act.
Early release
The first EP is recorded between London and Los Angeles and features a range of musical collaborators. It is issued through Good Soldier. Murphy is joined on the project by a variety of friends and collaborators.
Name and context
The name Love Fame Tragedy is taken from a Pablo Picasso exhibition at Tate Modern.
