Lost Society
Lost Society is a Finnish metal band from Jyväskylä, active since 2010. It begins as a thrash metal group and is later described as moving into nu metal and metalcore.
Early thrash metal period
The band forms in 2010 and releases three thrash metal albums in its early phase: Fast Loud Death, Terror Hungry and Braindead. These records establish the group within thrash metal before its later stylistic changes.
Later stylistic changes
From 2020, Lost Society shifts towards a melodic metalcore sound with No Absolutions, described as drawing on a style associated with Trivium and Bullet for My Valentine. By 2022, the band moves further towards nu metal with the albums If the Sky Came Down and Hell Is a State of Mind.
