Lost Cherrees

Lost Cherrees are an anarcho-punk band from Sutton, London. The group forms in 1982 with Dave Greaves, Steve Battershill and vocalist Sian Jeffries. Their line-up later changes, and in 2003 they reform with Andy, Beverley, Nuts and Steve. Matthew Thair is also listed as a member.

Early releases and activity

The band’s first major performance takes place in 1983, when they play with Riot/Clone. They release their first EP, No Fighting, No War, No Trouble, No More, on Riot/Clone Records. Their second EP, A Man's Duty, A Woman's Place, appears in 1984 on Mortarhate Records, and their later releases also come out on that label.

Scene connections

Lost Cherrees perform with a number of other anarcho-punk groups, including Flux of Pink Indians, Rudimentary Peni, DIRT, Chumbawamba, Icons of Filth, SubHumAns and Conflict. The band is associated with punk and anarcho-punk.

Later years

The group breaks up in 1986, then returns in 2003. After reforming, they continue touring and working on new material.
