London Community Gospel Choir
London Community Gospel Choir is a gospel choir from London, United Kingdom. It forms in 1982 and remains active. The choir is regarded as Britain’s first concert gospel choir.
The group develops a style built around gospel, with soulful, R&B, swing-beat and traditional arrangements, along with choreography and strong vocal performance. Its line-up includes Becky Thomas, Annette Bowen, Bazil Meade, Janet Ramus, Samantha Smith, Daniel Thomas, Stacey Anderson, Nicky Brown and Yvonne White.
London Community Gospel Choir performs at major events and appears at Live 8 and Glastonbury. It also sings at Wembley for the FA Cup Final and contributes vocals to the soundtrack of Disney’s The Lion King.
