Lizzie and the Banshees

Lizzie and the Banshees

Lizzie and the Banshees are a London-based group active from 1976 to 1996. They are associated with alternative pop, alternative rock, art pop, art rock, gothic rock and neo-psychedelia, and release material on Wonderland.

The group’s line-up includes Siouxsie Sioux, Steven Severin, Marco Pirroni, Sid Vicious, Peter Fenton, John McKay, Kenny Morris, Robert Smith, Budgie, John McGeoch, John Valentine Carruthers, Jon Klein, Martin McCarrick and Knox Chandler.

The name is also used by a Scottish 21st-century tribute act to Siouxsie and the Banshees. In that project, Lizzie is a singer and drummer, and previously plays drums in the tribute punk band Cash from Chaos. After performing one Siouxsie cover with Lizzie singing while drumming, the act expands into a full tribute group, with Lizzie moving to the front of the stage.
