Lixx

Lixx are a heavy metal and glam metal band with hard rock influences. The group signs to Fast Forward Records in the late 1980s, releases records, plays international shows, and attracts attention in the rock press before the changing tastes of the period push the band into the background.

Career

In 2018, the American label Demon Doll Records signs Lixx and reissues the band’s back catalogue to a wider international audience. In 2020, Lixx sign to Gathering Storm Records in the UK. After that, the band releases a series of albums and singles and plays festival stages across the UK, including the main stage at Hard Rock Hell Festival.

Style and reputation

Lixx are described as a high-energy live act with a groove-driven sound. Their music is associated with sleazy, hazy glam metal, with melodic choruses and a heavy, urgent edge, and the band is described in the press as “Weapons Grade Punk Metal.”
