Little Jinder

Little Jinder is the stage name of Astrid Maria Josefine Jinder, born in 1988 in Stockholm, Sweden. She is a Swedish pop singer, songwriter and producer, and she also records and performs under the names ADHD and Back in Judy's Shack.

Background and early work

Jinder is born in Skarpnäcks, in Stockholm County, and is the daughter of Bjorn Stove and Åsa Jinder, who is a performer and nyckelharpa player. She studies at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and lives in London during that period.

Her debut release is the Polyhedron EP in 2008, followed in 2009 by the Youth Blood EP, issued by Trouble & Bass Recordings in the United States. She tours and performs in Europe and the United States, and in 2010 appears as a panel member on the Sveriges Radio programme Best i test.

Albums, singles and language shift

Her first album is released in 2013 on Goldenbest Records. In the same year, she switches from recording and performing in English to Swedish. That change is marked by the single Shh, followed by Ful och tråkig tjej and Inga E som vi E.

In 2014 she releases Vita Bergens klockor, a duet with Rebecca & Fiona, and later that year her self-titled Swedish-language album Little Jinder appears. She also performs with Julia Spada on Nåt e väldigt fel. In 2015 she releases Sommarnatt and Hångellåsten with Mauro Scocco, and in 2016 she issues her third album, Allting Suger, before releasing Jag måste sluta som jag lever för evigt with Martin Sköld of Kent.

Recognition and performances

Little Jinder receives a Grammy for Best Pop for her 2014 album and wins Grammis Pop of the Year in 2015. She also wins Pop of the Year at the P3 Guld gala. In 2015 she becomes one of Sweden's best-known artists, performs at major Swedish festivals including Bråvalla and Way Out West, and appears as a guest on stage with Rebecca & Fiona and Zara Larsson at Way Out West.

Outside Sweden, she performs at Winter Music Conference in Miami, Ultra Music Festival and Coachella in 2011. In 2016 she appears on the cover of Gaffa and takes part in the seventh season of TV4's Så mycket bättre. Her performance of Du vill ha sex med mig in that programme gives the song a chart-topping version.
