Little Big Town

Little Big Town is a country music group from Homewood, United States. The band forms in 1998 and is active with four members: Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Philip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook. It has no lead singer, and instead the members share lead vocal duties and sing in four-part harmony.

Albums and recording history

The group debuts in 2002 with a self-titled album on Monument Records, a Sony label. The record does not sell well commercially, receives a poor critical response and produces one minor hit, “Don’t Waste My Time.” After being dropped by the label, the band moves to Equity Music Group, a country label formed by Clint Black. Its second album, The Road to Here, appears in 2005 and earns a stronger critical reception. It includes “Boondocks,” described as a major hit, and three further singles, including the top-five song “Bring It on Home.”

Little Big Town’s next album, A Place to Land, follows in 2007. After Equity Music Group folds, the album is reissued the following year through Capitol Nashville. Two of its singles reach the minor top 40. In 2010, the group releases “Little White Church,” the lead single from The Reason Why, which is released in 2010. The group is associated with Capitol Records Nashville and Little Big Town, LLC.
