Lisa Lambe is an Irish singer and actress from Dublin, born in 1983. She begins performing at the age of three and later graduates with a Bachelor of Acting Studies from Trinity College Dublin.

Career

Her work spans stage, musical theatre, film, television and radio. She appears in numerous title roles in theatrical productions across Ireland, Europe and the UK, and also works as a featured soloist with Ireland’s RTÉ Concert Orchestra. She is a soloist on The Late Late Show, which leads to collaborations with RTÉ-affiliated musicians Shay Healy and Frank McNamara.

Celtic Woman

Lambe is a member of Celtic Woman and joins the group for its 2011 tour line-up after Lynn Hilary leaves following the Songs from the Heart tour. She describes joining the ensemble as a privilege and says she looks forward to the experience.

Stage work

In London’s National Theatre, she performs in the musical Hex from November 2022 to January 2023, playing the fairy in a production based on Sleeping Beauty that continues the story beyond the prince waking Rose.

Critical recognition

The Irish Times describes her as “the finest singer and actress of her generation on whom a whole new foundation of theatre can be built.”
