Lily & Madeleine

Lily & Madeleine are an indie folk and folk pop group from Indianapolis, United States, made up of sisters Lily Jurkiewicz and Madeleine Jurkiewicz. Active since 2012, they grow out of a music-loving family in Indiana and begin writing songs together as teenagers after exploring their own musical interests in their adolescence.

Recorded output

The duo release four full-length albums: Lily & Madeleine in 2013 and Fumes in 2014 on Asthmatic Kitty Records, followed by Keep It Together in 2016 and Canterbury Girls in 2019 on New West Records.

Sound and development

Their early folk-pop style develops over time into a sound with a stronger rock edge, while their close vocal blend remains central to the music. Their songs often reflect their transition into adulthood and their experiences as women and artists. They are also influenced by alternative musicians including Feist, Beck and Lykke Li.
