Lil Tecca is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from Queens, New York. He is known professionally as Lil Tecca, also using the name Tecca. Born in 2002, his full name is Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe.

Career

Tecca first gains attention in 2018 during a dispute with Toronto rapper Lb Spiffy, after Lb accuses him of copying his flow on the track “Callin”. He builds momentum with a run of songs on SoundCloud, including “My Time”, “Get It Back”, “Love Me” and “Count Me Out”.

His breakthrough comes with “Ransom”, which becomes a major hit, reaches number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and passes one billion plays on Spotify. The song is also tied to a music video directed by Cole Bennett for Lyrical Lemonade.

Releases

His debut mixtape, We Love You Tecca, reaches number four on the US Billboard 200 and includes “Did It Again”, “Out of Luck” and “Shots”, which peak at numbers 64, 80 and 84 on the Billboard Hot 100. He later releases We Love You Tecca 2, which also reaches number four on the Billboard 200. In 2025, he releases the singles “Dark Thoughts” and “OWA OWA” and the album DOPAMINE.
