Lightyear

Lightyear are a ska punk group from Derby, United Kingdom, active from 1998 to 2003. They blend ska with pop, hardcore, punk and occasional hip hop, and are best known for their intense live performances, which often involve members of the band, and sometimes the crowd, getting naked.

The band later reforms briefly for the summer of 2006 and plays a short UK tour that includes the Reading and Leeds festivals. That run ends with a sold-out show in Derby, where Chris, owner of the Gentleman's Hairdresser and Railway Book Shop, and Chas's parents appear on stage to sing the chorus of Positive Outlook.

Lightyear also play a final charity show at the Assembly Halls in Derby.
