Lifeless

Lifeless is a death metal band from Dortmund, Germany. It forms in 2006 and remains active. The group is associated with traditional and old school death metal, and its early history begins in 2004, when former Non Divine members Marc, on vocals and guitar, and Andy, on guitar, set out to form a band focused on traditional death metal.

The project is delayed for a time by private problems, but the idea returns in 2005. Jan joins on bass in spring 2006, at which point the band is formed. Daniel then joins on drums and completes the line-up. In winter 2008, Jan leaves because of work commitments, and Daniel Wien takes over bass duties.

The band records and produces its first album, Beyond the Threshold of Death, itself. Vesa Kenttäkumpu of the Swedish death metal band Evocation handles the mastering. In fall 2009, Lifeless signs to US-based Ibex Moon Records.
