Lefay

Lefay is a Swedish power metal and thrash metal group active from 1997 to 2004. It is the name used by Morgana Lefay during that period, after the band split in 1997 and changed its name because of contractual disputes with Black Mark.

History

After the split, Persson, Heder and Soderling relocate to Stockholm, while Charles Rytkönen and Tony Eriksson continue and recruit new members. The line-up includes Micke Åsentorp, Tony Eriksson, Peter Grehn, Charles Rytkönen and Fredrik Lundberg. During this period, Persson, Heder and Soderling record an album under the Morgana Lefay name in order to end contractual obligations, but that album is not recognised by the later incarnation of the band.

Return to the Morgana Lefay name

In 2004, Lefay signs again with Black Mark and regains the right to use its full name.
