Leaf

Leaf is a Dallas-based electronic collaboration from the United States. The group brings together Steve Wick, DJ Eric Dove, and members of Biogliphic, 32nd Kalpa, Blunt Force, and other Dallas-area producers. Its music combines hip-hop rhythms, layered sampling, melodic detail and organic instrumentation, with a dark, weighty character and occasional uplifting passages.

The project is associated with abstract trip-hop and related styles, and its sound is compared with artists such as DJ Shadow, DJ Signify, Blockhead, Subtle and Tricky. Leaf’s material is known for its sense of place and mood, as well as its use of crystalline melodies alongside dense rhythm and sampling.
