Lazy Jane

Lazy Jane is a four-piece band from Herne that has been active since 2009. It originally forms in Waycross, Georgia, and its music spans folk, rock and country, with a strong folk foundation that runs through much of what it does.

Members

The group consists of Will Walton on vocals, rhythm guitar and piano; Jacob Robson on drums and percussion; Thierry Santacana on lead guitar, piano and general instrumentation; and Tommy Hellsten on full production.

Style and influences

Lazy Jane’s sound combines several genres, but it stays rooted in folk. Its music draws on the influence of Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Talking Heads, Ryan Adams, Van Morrison and Coldplay.

Approach

The band presents songwriting and performance as a direct expression of its own interest in making music, and it aims to bring a fresh approach to established forms through its melodies, music and lyrics.
