Latitudes

Latitudes is an instrumental post-metal group from London, United Kingdom. The band plays in styles including artcore, instrumental, post-metal, post-rock and sludge metal, and its line-up includes Tim Blyth on guitar, Adam Crowley on guitar, Jon Lyon on bass and Mike Davies on drums.

Releases

Latitudes release their debut EP, Bleak Epiphanies in Slow Motion, in 2007. The record draws attention for its technical playing and atmospheric sound. The following year, the band releases its first full-length album, Agonist, on Shelsmusic. That album features longer and more complex compositions and helps establish the group’s progressive approach to metal. Latitudes later release Individuation in 2012 and Old Sunlight in 2016.

Activity and live work

The group tours extensively in Europe and plays festivals, as well as shows with Carcass, Baroness, Minsk, A Storm Of Light and *Shels. Their live performances are noted for the precision and power with which they deliver their intricate material.
