Lane 8 is the stage name of Daniel Goldstein, a US electronic music producer and DJ. Born in 1990, he is based in San Francisco and releases music on This Never Happened. His work sits within house and related electronic styles, including deep house, club, dance, disco, drum and bass and EDM.

He first draws attention after The Magician plays his debut single, “Don’t Want You Back”, in the 23rd instalment of the Magic Tape series. A follow-up single, “Dusty”, receives support from a range of DJs including Jody Wisternoff, Kidnap Kid, Viceroy and Geisha Twins. Lane 8 then issues a three-track EP, along with reworks of Fleetwood Mac and Brandy, and an official remix for Austin band Snowden.

These early releases establish him as part of the California house scene, and his name gains a following among DJs, blogs and listeners.
