LANDMVRKS

LANDMVRKS are a metalcore and post-hardcore group from Marseille, France, active since 2014. The band begins under the name Coldsight, formed by Florent Salfati and Nicolas Soriano, before evolving into Landmarks and then adopting the spelling LANDMVRKS.

Formation and early years

Florent Salfati first plans to play guitar and is also the founding vocalist of Hate in Front. When the band does not find a lead singer, he takes over vocal duties. The early line-up is completed by Rudy Purkart on bass and Thomas Lebreton on guitar, with Nicolas Exposito later joining as second guitarist.

The group performs at Deadbolt Festival in Manchester in 2015 and at Hellfest for the first time in 2016. Their Hellfest appearance is recorded and issued as a live release.

Albums and releases

LANDMVRKS release their self-produced debut album Hollow in 2016. In 2018 they sign to German label Arising Empire and issue their second album, Fantasy, through the label.

The band later releases Lost in the Waves in 2021, which reaches number 17 in the German album charts. A deluxe version, Lost in the Waves (The Complete Edition), follows in 2022 and adds live versions alongside three new collaborations with Anthony Dijorio, Bertrand Poncet and Anthony Diliberto.

Their fourth studio album, The Darkest Place I've Ever Been, is part of their discography from 2025.

The current line-up features Florent Salfati on lead vocals and guitars, Nicolas Exposito on lead guitar and backing vocals, Rudy Purkart on bass and backing vocals, Paul Cordebard on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, and Kévin D'Agostino on drums and percussion.
