Lancelot

Lancelot is the stage name of Carl Sör Lancelot Hedman, a Swedish artist from Stockholm, Sweden. He is also known as Lancelot Hedman Graaf and Lance Hedman Graaf, and he comes from a Swedish celebrity family. His mother is model and singer Magdalena Graaf, and his father is footballer Magnus Hedman.

Television and public profile

He appears in his mother’s reality series Systrarna Graaf and in his own series Lance vs livet. He also appears in the series Behandlingen, where he speaks about struggles with substance abuse, including alcohol. In 2019, he places third on Let’s Dance.

Music career

Lancelot has already released dance music as part of the duo Lance & Linton, and then makes a solo debut through Melodifestivalen. His music work includes production and DJ-oriented club material, with a sound described through bass-heavy tracks and a clear, polished top end. He starts out on piano before moving into DJing and club performance.

Releases and collaborations

His breakout track is “Spoken Word,” which draws attention in 2012. He remixes tracks for RÜFÜS, Matt Corby, Say Lou Lou, Sparkadia and New Navy. He also releases an original EP on Goldroom’s Binary imprint and on Nurvous Records in New York. In addition, he works on an audiovisual collaboration with EGO on an SOS Band track, and later creates new work with Antony & Cleopatra.

Performances and support

He plays clubs in London, Paris and Barcelona, as well as other locations outside Australia, and he supports artists including Julio Bashmore, Jamie Jones and Horse Meat Disco. His EP Givin’ It Up appears on Anjunadeep and includes remixes by MK and Isaac Tichauer. Artists including T. Williams, Danny Howard, The Magician and Perseus support the release.
