LAGO

LAGO is a name used by two different four-piece bands. One is a death metal band formed in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2010. The other is a Russian neocrust band from Tobolsk.

Phoenix death metal band

The Phoenix LAGO plays a form of death metal that combines classic North American extremity with dense dissonance and a dark atmospheric sound. The band draws influence from acts such as Immolation and Gorguts. It builds an underground reputation with Tyranny and Sea of Duress, then returns after lineup changes and rebuilding with a self-produced third album, Vigil. Its later line-up includes Cole Jacobsen, Gus Barr, Garrett Thomas and Brian Miller.

Russian neocrust band

The other LAGO is a four-piece band from Tobolsk, Russia, playing neocrust in the style of the Spanish school of the genre.
