Ladybirds
Ladybirds are a US experimental duo from the United States, made up of Tyler Pursel and Teeter Sperber. Pursel is also the keyboard player for Gym Class Heroes. The group is active from 2007 to the present.
Recording and style
The duo release their debut album Regional Community Theater in 2007 on Creep Records, an independent label based in Pennsylvania. The album includes a number of guest appearances and contributors, with Max Bemis of Say Anything singing on two tracks, Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids on one track, and guest vocals from Justin Johnson of The Danger O’s and Neil Sabatino of Fairmont. One track also features a chorus of pre-teens.
Sound
Ladybirds describe their sound in highly pop-oriented terms, combining elements of Cyndi Lauper, The Postal Service and an exaggerated, high-energy pop sensibility.
