Kuro is an alias used by BallAndPaddle. The name also appears in relation to several different acts: a Japanese hardcore punk band known as Kuro or 白(KURO), the female lead singer of TAMTAM in Tokyo, who releases solo material under the name Kuro, a lo-fi and experimental artist from France, and a nu metal band from Glasgow, Scotland.

The Japanese Kuro or 白(KURO) is described as a hardcore punk band from Japan. Kuro’s solo release, Just Saying Hi, is a largely ambient pop project with lo-fi hip hop aesthetics. The name is also distinct from K.U.R.O., a psychedelic trance project based in Japan, and Kuro!, an Indonesian band.
