Krumelur

Krumelur is the project of Fredrik Larsson, originally from Malmö and now associated with Berlin as well. It begins around 1998–99 after his early musical experimentation and develops within the progressive trance scene. He is described as one of the notable pioneers of that scene.

Releases and style

His debut album, Minimal Animal, is released on Crotus Records and becomes a well-regarded release in progressive trance circles. It gains a strong reputation through its personal sound and experimental approach, and it sells out quickly in a limited pressing.

After that, he performs live and appears on compilations with an international reach. His work appears on labels including Nova Tekk, Digital Psionics, Deja Vu, and Dance n Dust, among others. This period helps establish Krumelur’s raw, edgy sound across a global underground audience.

Later work

His second album, Paramoral, is released on Zenon Records in Australia. It continues the direction of the earlier releases while moving further into a sound that blends jazz influences with minimal techno and electro. The album contains 10 previously unreleased tracks and is noted for its quirky rhythms, deep atmospheres, ripping leads, and strong musical detail.

Krumelur plays live across Europe and in countries including Israel, Brazil, and Australia.
