Krayon Angels

Krayon Angels is a United Kingdom psychedelic rock group formed in 1969 by Darrel Read on drums, Chris Gibbons on guitar and vocals, and Jeff Pasternak on guitar and vocals. After recording demos, the group adds Lou Martin on piano and Stuart McDonald on bass, with both musicians coming from Killing Floor. Its sound is identified with acid rock and psychedelic rock.

Recording and live work

The group records its album in the basement studios of Orange Music in Little Compton Street, London. After a series of gigs, it is noticed by producer Lee Halliday at the Marquee Club. Chris Gibbons and Jeff Pasternak are then signed as a duo, as management decides against keeping the full band line-up.

Members and later connections

Lou Martin later becomes known as keyboard player with Rory Gallagher. Darrel Read later forms one of the first punk bands, Crushed Butler. Chris Gibbons works as a professional composer and blues guitarist, while Jeff Pasternak is a singer-songwriter. Stuart McDonald continues to play bass with his own band in the UK.
