Koxbox

Koxbox are a psychedelic trance act from Copenhagen, Denmark. The group works in goa trance and psytrance, and is known for layered soundscapes built from futuristic sounds, samples and sharp, funky basslines.

Line-up and aliases

The act consists of Peter Candy, Frank E and Ian Ion. Frank E is also credited as Frank Kiehn Madsen, and Ian Ion is also known as Ian Johannson. Peter Candy leaves the group in 1998, while Ian Ion leaves in 2003 and returns in 2006 for the album U-Turn.

Members of Koxbox also record under the names Psychopod and Saiko-pod.

Releases and labels

After a series of singles on the German label Harthouse, Koxbox release their first album, Forever After, which establishes them in the scene. They later work with Blue Room, where they issue several singles and the album Dragon Tales in 1997. Their next album, The Great Unknown, appears in 2000.

U-Turn follows on Twisted Records and includes Frank E and Ian Ion alongside several collaborators across the tracks.
