Kitty Craft
Kitty Craft is the alias of Pamela Valfer, an artist from Los Angeles. Her music combines simple hip-hop beats, ethereal synth lines, dreamy samples and angelic vocals, and sits across alternative rock, downtempo, electronic, indie pop, indie rock and lo-fi, with tags also including indie pop, indietronica, twee pop, downtempo and trip-hop.
Releases
She releases three albums under the Kitty Craft name: Kitty Craft, often referred to as the Toytown tape, on Toytown in 1995; Beats and Breaks from the Flower Patch on Kindercore in 1998; and Catskills on March Records in 2000.
Later reissues and compilations
From 2019, Kitty Craft begins re-releasing her music on Takotsubo Records. Since 2020, two new compilations appear: Lost Tapes, which collects lost and unreleased songs, and Mew (1996-2004), a best-of compilation. From 2022, 7th Heaven begins reissuing her records on tape, including Beats and Breaks in October 2022 and the Toytown tape as a pre-order in October 2023.
