Kitchen Radio

Kitchen Radio is an alternative rock group from Seattle, Washington, active in the Pacific Northwest from 1992 to 1996. The band centres on Mark Notermann, with Dave Schmitt on guitar and vocals, Mark Patterson on bass, and Mark Boquist on drums.

The group plays many live dates and records several sessions while touring in one van. It headlines tours through the Mountain States and opens locally for acts including the Jayhawks, Uncle Tupelo and Giant Sand.

Its releases include Hick'ry in 1993 on Visita, Virgin Smile in 1994 on Glitterhouse, and Best of The Rest in 2002 on Rare Heritage. The Hick'ry session is an early production credit for Brian Deck, who later works with artists including Iron & Wine, Ugly Casanova and Josh Ritter.
