King Violet

King Violet is an alternative rock band from St Albans, active since 2017. The group features Mai Anderson on vocals, Claudia Lavado on guitar, Amy Stephen on bass and Mia Casey on drums.

The band grows out of a shared background in St Albans, where the members grow up together before later moving north for university in Manchester, Leeds and Nottingham. It plays in the alternative rock field and is associated with a sound that combines heartbreak and despair with pop, sass and mystery.

King Violet has supported Declan Walsh and the Decadent West, and Sad Boys Club.
