King Mob

King Mob is a UK five-piece alternative band from Manchester. The name is also used by several other acts, but this group is the London-based supergroup line-up associated with rock, punk and indie influences.

Line-up and style

The band is made up of Chris Spedding, Glen Matlock, Martin Chambers, Stephen W. Parsons and guitar player Sixteen. Its sound draws on rock and punk, with blues and indie elements also associated with the act. The group is described as being heavily influenced by the bandleaders and composers Duke Ellington and Jimmy Page.

Release

King Mob’s debut album, FORCE 9, is released in 2011.
