Kindred

Kindred is a name used by several unrelated acts, including a Philippine band, a Limburg-area hardcore group, an Australian nu metal band, an American R&B/neo soul duo, an electronic producer from Melbourne, and an indie pop solo project.

Philippine band

One Kindred line-up is a Philippine band made up of Slomo Says, nouvul, Cavill, VINCED, Punzi, dot.jaime, Fern., and Pikunin.

Limburg hardcore group

Another Kindred is a hardcore band from the Limburg area. It is one of the first bands released on Goodlife that is not from the H8000 crew. Its line-up includes Eric A. Sefton on vocals, Jan Beckers on guitars, Walter Beckers on bass, and Maarten Beckers on drums. After the group ends, some members go on to form Enemy of the Sun, and later Eric and Walter start Troublelovesus. Maarten also spends time in Ampslamper.

Australian nu metal band

A separate Kindred is a nu metal band from Australia, with HOFF on vocals, JONO on rhythm guitar, RYAN on lead guitar, JAMIE on bass, and PETE on drums.

American R&B/neo soul duo

Kindred also refers to an American R&B and neo soul duo formed by Fatin Dantzler and his wife, Aja Graydon. The duo signs to Hidden Beach Records and emerges from the Philadelphia neo-soul scene associated with Jill Scott, who discovers them. Their debut album, Surrender to Love, follows two years of work and includes the songs “Stars” and “Far Away”.

Electronic and indie pop projects

Another Kindred is an electronic producer from Melbourne, Australia, and a further use of the name is the indie pop solo project of Sloan Struble, who is also a member of Dayglow.
