Kill the Noise is the stage name of Jacob Stanczak, an American DJ and record producer from Rochester, United States. He also records under the name Ewun.

Career

Stanczak begins releasing music in 2004 as Ewun. In 2007, after signing to Play Me Records, he starts using the Kill the Noise name. His first release under that alias is “Lightspeed”, a collaboration with Datsik issued on Play Me Records in 2008. The track becomes widely known and appears in video games including Need for Speed: ProStreet and Saints Row 2.

He follows this with releases on Play Me Records including “Kill Kill Kill”, “Jokes On You” and “My World”. He also works with a range of electronic artists such as Spor, Evol Intent, Infiltrata, The Upbeats and Dieselboy.

Collaborations and label work

In 2011, Stanczak produces and appears on Korn tracks from The Path of Totality, including “Narcissistic Cannibal” with Skrillex and “Fuels the Comedy”. “Narcissistic Cannibal” is released as a single in 2011.

He also collaborates with Skrillex, Fatman Scoop and Michael Angelakos on “Recess”, which enters the UK Singles Chart at number 57. The song is the title track of Skrillex’s debut album Recess.

Stanczak co-owns Slow Roast Records with DJ Craze. The label is distributed by Fool’s Gold Records.

Other work

He produces soundtracks for film and video game projects, including the 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, XXX: Return of Xander Cage and In the Shadow of the Moon.
