kidkanevil is a hip-hop and electronic producer and DJ whose work sits between instrumental hip-hop, beats and turntablism. He develops a sound shaped by his father’s jazz and folk record collection as well as hip-hop and sound system culture.

Collaborations and aliases

He collaborates with Japanese electronic artist Daisuke Tanabe under the name kidsuke. He also remixes, produces and works with a range of electronic artists, including Stateless, Andreya Triana, Foreign Beggars, Illum Sphere and Dorian Concept.

kidkanevil releases music on Ninja Tune, Project Mooncircle, Brownswood, Error Broadcast and First Word.

Live activity and wider involvement

He has played at events including Sonar, Hoya:Hoya and Low End Theory. In 2010, he takes part in the Red Bull Music Academy. He is also a member of the DJ collective and club night Tempo Clash, alongside Om Unit, Blue Daisy, Kutmah and Offshore.
