Khainz is the project of Simon Schwendener, a producer and DJ from Luzern, Switzerland, also known as Freakulizer. His work sits in house, melodic house and melodic techno, with tags in progressive trance, techno, progressive psytrance, minimal and electro.

Career

Schwendener begins playing vinyl in his brother’s room in the early 1990s, at the age of 14, and develops that into a regular DJing practice. After a few years of rehearsal, he plays almost every weekend at clubs, open-air events and festivals. In 1999, he starts writing and producing his own music.

Khainz issues numerous singles on a wide range of international labels, including Hotfingers, Formatik, Sprout Music, Italo Business, Natura Viva, Soulman, Lo Kik, Absurd, Autist, Strict, Tech-it, Kumquat Tunes, Flow Vinyl, Iboga and Blue Tunes.

He appears on major stages around the world and performs in countries including Mexico, Thailand, Japan, Brazil, Canada, the UK, Germany, Australia, South Africa, France and Italy.
