Kevlar Bikini
Kevlar Bikini is a hard rock and punk rock band from Zagreb, Croatia. The group forms in March 2010 and is described as a four-piece act. It plays a direct, self-directed style of rock, and it builds its early reputation through live shows and festival appearances across the region.
Early activity and first album
After forming, Kevlar Bikini plays a number of shows and festivals in the Balkans and nearby areas. The band then records its debut album, Explodisiac. The record is mixed at Sunlight Studio by Tomas Skogsberg and mastered by Pelle Henricsson at Tonteknik Recording. It is released in 2012 by the UK label Freaky Pug Records.
Live work and recognition
Kevlar Bikini appears at several well-known festivals, including Punk Rock Holiday, To Be Punk Fest and Jelen Demofest. The band also performs a mini-tour with the Los Angeles punk band Barb Wire Dolls. Explodisiac receives strong reviews in webzines, blogs and magazines internationally.
