Kevin Eldon
Kevin Eldon is an English actor and comedian from Chatham, United Kingdom, born in 1959. He works in alternative comedy across television and radio, and is also a writer.
Television and radio comedy
He is best known for appearing in Lee and Herring’s television comedy Fist of Fun, where he plays Simon Quinlank, and in This Morning with Richard Not Judy, where he portrays Rod Hull. He also appears in a number of other television and radio projects, including work with Chris Morris on Blue Jam and with Simon Munnery on The League Against Tedium and Simon Munnery's Experimental Half Hour.
He also stars in the BBC sitcom Hyperdrive and in Julia Davis’s series Nighty Night. In Look Around You, he performs the song “Machadaynu”. His work spans the 1990s and 2000s.
Writing and solo work
Alongside acting, Eldon is described as a prolific comedy writer. He composes and records novelty pop songs intended for a television series that has not yet been commissioned. This material includes the euro-pop pastiche “Mobile Phone”.
Among his solo projects, Speakers is one of the best known: a six-part series of 15-minute comedy monologues recorded for Resonance FM in London.
