KeNsEi

KeNsEi is a rapper and singer from Breda with both metal and hip-hop roots. His work combines unusual storytelling with fast, flowing delivery, and he often draws on samurai imagery. He is not presented as a rapper in a ninja costume, but as an artist associated with a metal-shirt aesthetic and a darker musical background.

Releases and projects

Before his solo material, KeNsEi releases the album Ontstemmen together with producer DEC under the name Verbaal Verzet. He also works on a project called Mori. His first solo record is Spokenjacht, a short album with 10 tracks. On that release, he explores the idea of hunting his own ghosts, using a grim and melancholic style that combines rapping with sung parts.

Production and style

On Spokenjacht, 9 of the 10 tracks are produced by Frietboer, with the remaining track produced by Saccage. The opening track sets a dramatic tone, while the closing track leaves the listener on a lighter note. KeNsEi’s delivery is described through both rap and striking vocal passages, and his music balances heaviness with emotional contrast.
