Kelly Llorenna

Kelly Llorenna is a British dance and trance singer from Upminster, Greater London, who is raised in Oldham, Lancashire. Born in 1975, she begins her career in 1993 as a member of the dance act N-Trance, providing vocals for “Set You Free”. The track is not an immediate success, but after several re-releases it reaches the UK charts in January 1995.

Solo work and collaborations

Llorenna launches her solo career in 1995 with “Brighter Day”, which narrowly misses the UK top 40. She returns to N-Trance in 1997 for a cover of Rod Stewart’s “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy”, which reaches the UK top 10. She also sings on later N-Trance hits including covers of Guns N’ Roses’ “Paradise City” and the Jackson 5’s “Shake Ya Body”.

In 2001 she appears on Flip N Fill’s “True Love Never Dies”, which becomes a top 10 hit after being re-released in 2002. Her solo album All Clubbed Up follows in 2002 and includes one of her best-known recordings, a cover of Taylor Dayne’s “Tell It To My Heart”, which reaches the UK top 10 in October 2002. The album also includes a new version of “Heart of Gold”, a song she first records with Force & Styles in 1998.

Later releases and media work

In 2004, Llorenna reaches the UK top 15 with a cover of Donna Summer’s “This Time I Know It’s For Real”. She continues releasing solo material with All Around the World Records, including “I Will Love Again”, “Dress You Up” and “Keep Love Together”, linked to the releases of Clublands 10, Clublands 15 and Clublands 12 respectively. Between 2004 and 2006, she also makes guest appearances on EMAP’s Big City Network and 97.6 Chiltern FM.
