Keeno

Keeno is a drum and bass producer based in Manchester, UK, and also a Japanese Vocaloid producer. The name is used by two distinct artists: one associated with UK drum and bass and one known for Vocaloid work.

Drum and bass producer

The UK-based Keeno releases music on Hospital Records and Med School Music. He is known for combining orchestral and cinematic elements with drum and bass while keeping a strong dancefloor focus. His early release Nocturne is a six-track EP, and he also appears on the Hospital Records compilation Sick Music 3 with the track “No More”.

Keeno collaborates with Whiney, who co-produces “Isokime” on New Blood 013 and appears with him on “No More”. The two also work together on a remix of S.P.Y’s “By Your Side”. Keeno’s remixes are noted within the scene, including his version of Casey Abrams’ “Get Out”, which reaches number one in the Estonian and Lithuanian charts and draws attention on YouTube.

He is named by Knowledge Magazine as one of its top 20 producers to watch in 2013, and his work receives support from artists including London Elektricity, S.P.Y, Camo & Krooked and BCee.

Japanese Vocaloid producer

The Japanese Keeno first becomes known for the song “crack”, which reaches number one in Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #161. His work commonly uses Miku Append Dark and often draws on sad, emotional songs with slow rock influences. He also releases several albums, including Before Light, and his song “glow” is selected for performance at Vocaloid concerts.
