Kayzo

Kayzo is the recording name of Hayden Capuozzo, an electronic music artist associated with dubstep, electro house and brostep. He is active in France.

Background

Capuozzo is born in Houston, Texas and raised in different cities across the United States, and he draws on that background in his approach to electronic music. Under the name Kayzo, he develops a style built around mixing different genres rather than staying within a single sound.

Career

Kayzo breaks through in 2012 when he wins Insomniac’s Discovery Project Challenge with a mix that draws on a wide range of genres. The prize gives him a set at Beyond Wonderland, which is his first live performance. He then builds a catalogue of remixes and original tracks that combine contrasting electronic styles.

Releases and support

His original track Tekken is selected by Krewella for their Future Sounds of EDM compilation on Ministry of Sound. He also releases Crank through Kannibalen Records, and Fired Up and Visions appear on Firepower Records. He receives support from Krewella, Carnage, Adventure Club, Diplo, Candyland and Excision, and is recognised as an artist to watch in 2014.
