Kavinsky

Kavinsky is the stage name of Vincent Belorgey, an electronic artist from Paris, France. His work is associated with electro house, French electro, French house, synth-pop and synthwave. He is born in 1975.

Recording career

Kavinsky releases EPs on the Record Makers label and also issues one release on Fool's Gold. His first studio album, OutRun, is released in 2013. His production style is described as visceral and as drawing on the sound of 1980s video games and film soundtracks.

Collaborations and live work

He works with several electro artists, including Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and SebastiAn. In 2007, he tours alongside Daft Punk, The Rapture, Justice and SebastiAn.

Other work and appearances

Beyond music, Kavinsky appears in several films, including Steak, which is directed by Mr. Oizo. The SebastiAn remix of “Testarossa Autodrive”, from the 1986 EP, appears in Grand Theft Auto IV and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
