KAV is a British artist based in Los Angeles, working in garage rock, indie rock and rock. He releases solo material and is also known for connections to club events, festival work and collaboration with a range of musicians.

Solo work and recordings

KAV releases his debut solo album The Man With No Shadow in 2014. The title track later appears in the television series Riverdale. Other tracks also place in film and television: Blaggers n' Liars features in Shameless USA, Dance in a Panic is used in a teaser for Decoding Annie Parker featuring Aaron Paul, and City of Sun is used by AMC in a spring trailer covering titles including Mad Men and The Walking Dead. He also writes the end credits for a film starring John Malkovich.

Band work and collaborations

KAV helps reform Happy Mondays with Shaun Ryder, joining on guitar and recording and touring with the group for four years. He also works with Andy Rourke of The Smiths in BLITZ VEGA, a project that is in the studio working on its debut album. His other collaborators include Howard Marks, Zombie Boy, Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs of Oasis, Mondo Cozmo, Datarock and Tall Paul.

Events and projects

He co-founds Getloaded, a run of club events at Turnmills, and the award-winning Getloaded in The Park festival in London, which has a capacity of 20,000. In 2016 he founds the LA rock and roll dance party Dance in a Panic.

KAV’s music is compared with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Primal Scream, The Rolling Stones, The Stooges and Kasabian. His work also features in sports coverage including the FIFA World Cup and the Champions League.
