Katmandu is an Irish new wave group from Belfast, United Kingdom, active from 1978 to 1982. The act is associated with hard rock, rock and progressive rock.

Katmandu is best known for a single album issued by Epic, which includes the singles “The Way You Make Me Feel” and “When the Rain Comes”. The record gains some international attention, including in Japan, but the group releases only one album.

The line-up includes Mandy Meyer and Dave King, with Caine Carruthers on bass and Mike Alonso on drums. The name is also associated with later activity by Meyer, who has played with Asia, Cobra, Krokus and Gotthard, and by Pat Aeby and Tony Castell of Krokus, who join forces to revisit the band’s repertoire and write new material.
