Kate NV

Kate NV is the solo project of Kate Shilonosova, a musician from Kazan and Moscow born in 1988. She works in electronica and pop, and is associated with art pop, synthpop, Russian electronic music and progressive electronic styles.

Other projects and collaborations

She is the front person of the new wave and post-punk band гш, known in English as Glintshake. She also performs in the experimental Moscow Scratch Orchestra and is a member of Decisive Pink.

Influences

Her work draws on Russian and Japanese pop music and film from the 1970s and 1980s, including Akiko Yano and Haniwa-chan.
